Shockley Wedding

John and Brittany are two of my favorite most people in this world. Each one would bend over backwards for you for whatever you needed. It was a very special honor to be selected to photograph their wedding. I wish them both the best of luck in all that they do!

My New Site and My New Assistant

It's been a while since I posted here last. Since then I've launched a new site, brought on a new full-time assistant for my gigs, and been working on several projects and prepared to take this whole "business" thing to a whole new level.

If you're interested in the site check it out here:

If you're interested in seeing the new assistant, check out the new photo blog on my website. Here's a preview, though. :o)

It's Been a While

It’s been a long while since I posted here. I know, I know…I’m sorry. :o( Can you even tell how many people read/view this thing? Anyway…

So yeah, I’m getting a new site! It’s gonna rock! It will have a blog site that comes with it and when I get it I’ll post here and then probably get rid of this one. I don’t know though. I’m already trying to keep up with facebook, myspace, this site, flickr, photography network, model mayhem, and deviant art. So something’s gotta go, you know? Oh well…I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I decided that I’d post some new-old stuff for you to see. These photos of Becca were taken all on the same day and I came across them earlier tonight. I love the two of her on the escalator. They are a perfect capture of her personality. Leave a comment or two and let us know what you think.

A Shocking Moment

I spend a lot of time in front of a computer. I know, I know, it’s not a good thing. Anyway, as a result I figured I would join several different photography websites. Actually, I’m a member of too many to count! Some just show off work, others are great platforms for feedback, and still others are nothing at all…just pretty places for pretty photos.

Anyway, I was perusing through the internet a couple days ago and I hit the link to one of these sites. When the page came up I was floored. I mean FLOORED. I was staring at my image on the HOMEPAGE of this website. MY image. Ummmm…uhhh??? Huh?

After it faded from image to image a time or six I finally came to my senses. I had no idea what was going on. At first I was confused and then it began to dawn on me…they chose my image…MY image…for their advertisement. Don’t get me wrong, my image wasn’t the only one chosen but it was one of 4 images chosen to represent this site that is exclusive to only photographers.

I’m so freaking honored!!!

So, I decided that I’d post it here, too. :o) That’s it above. The model is my friend Becca. I hope you enjoy. :o)

I've got a Dream

I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours.
~~~
Like the fool I am and I’ll always be
I’ve got a Dream, I’ve got a Dream
They can change their minds but they can’t change me
I’ve got a Dream, I’ve got a Dream
I know I can share it if you want me to
If you’re going my way, I’ll go with you…
Kryptonite
Model: Tashina
It is my firm belief that we are all immortal until our first kiss. Until that moment we cannot be hurt, are bullet proof, we believe in fairies, the Easter Bunny, and that the guy under the bed that is bound and determined to take us away. Then comes that first moment of true bliss and excitement. It leads us on to something great, wonderful, beautiful, and…tragic. Then, we spend the rest of our lives trying to find something that can replicate that feeling or get as close to it as possible.
Then we have those people that come into our lives for only a short time. They bring different shades of colors to our world and teach us things about ourselves that we would have never have known about before. They give us a pitter-patter in our hearts, our hands shake, and we stutter. Then, one day it’s all over and a calm acceptance flows over us and we move on.
She was something else. She was everything that I had ever wanted in a woman. She was the perfect partner in crime. She was the Lois Lane to my Superman. She is my weakness. Her eyes were green…like Kryptonite.
